The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the café during assigned shifts. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining operational standards, handling cash and inventory, and ensuring smooth functioning of the outlet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise café operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
- Allocate duties and ensure smooth coordination among team members.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are maintained.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the kitchen/store team for replenishment.
- Handle billing, cash management, and shift closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational policies.
- Support training and onboarding of new employees.
- Coordinate with the Café Manager regarding operational issues and daily reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate or Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel Management preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in café, restaurant, or QSR operations.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and customer handling abilities.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Problem-solving and multitasking skills.
