Role Overview -
The position is for a CFD Engineer to perform aerodynamics, propeller performance, flight stability analysis and support experiments for an electric UAV logistics aircraft.
Designation - Engineer I
Experience - 1 to 4 years
Qualification - MTech/MS in Aerospace Engineering
Location - Marathalli Bengaluru
Key Responsibilities -
- Perform mid-fidelity and CFD analysis of aircraft and component aerodynamics, including lifting and control surfaces.
- Perform mid-fidelity analysis of aircraft static and dynamic stability.
- Perform transient CFD analysis of propeller performance and its aerodynamic interaction with aero-structural surfaces.
- Perform capability development activities to improve existing analysis methods.
- Support ground test experiments of aerodynamic components and flight test of UAV aircraft prototypes.
- Close interaction with cross-functional design, FEA, avionics team members.
Key Skills -
- Experience with RANS/LES CFD meshing and analysis software (Ansys Workbench, Ansys Fluent, OpenFoam).
- Experience with mid-fidelity aerodynamics analysis software based on vortex lattice method, panel method (XFLR, OpenVSP).
- Exposure to programming software is desirable (Matlab, Python).
