- Inventory Management:
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials, tools, and supplies for door manufacturing.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies in stock levels, investigate causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Receiving and Dispatch:
- Oversee the receipt of raw materials and components, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Manage and document all incoming and outgoing shipments, including finished products.
- Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage environment, adhering to company and safety standards.
- Implement systematic storage procedures to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy retrieval of items.
- Regularly inspect the condition of stored items, reporting any damages or maintenance requirements.
- Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Use inventory management software (ERP systems) to log stock data, run reports, and analyze inventory trends.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management review and participate in inventory reconciliation.
- Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to schedule deliveries, address supply chain issues, and ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Coordinate with purchasing and finance teams to ensure proper billing and payment processes.
- Team Supervision:
- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Foster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork, safety, and adherence to company policies.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Implement best practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and inventory damages.
- Conduct regular safety checks, training, and emergency preparedness exercises for warehouse staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in warehouse/store management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (ERP systems) and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain management, stock control, and warehousing practices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed within a warehouse environment.
