We are a Product Design Studio in Gurgaon seeking a Production Manager to head our production and fabrication unit (dealing mainly in Stainless steel and other metals like MS, brass, copper).
We have a team of 20 people in the fabrication unit. Large bespoke items are designed and made. No mass production, hence each project is different.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Oversee all the operations and manpower of the unit.
- Supervise metal and wood fabrication processes, including Stainless Steel, Mild Steel (MS), Aluminum, Brass, and Copper.
- Ensure quality control in welding, polishing, lathe operations, fitting, and other fabrication techniques.
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize product designs.
- Oversee material procurement and outsourcing while maintaining quality standards.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and ensure seamless operations.
- Make flow chart for efficient production
- Handle workers.
- Give relevant inputs of new technology, machines and workers.
Requirements:
- Should have good knowledge of working with metal especially stainless steel
- Should understand and have working experience / knowledge of processes like welding, buffing, lathe, polishiong, rolling, casting, laser cutting, etching, etc.
- Should have some knowledge of wood/ply/board (as these are used to make moulds, packaging, componenets etc)
- Should have experience of leading and handling a team
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fabrication and production supervision.
- Preferably a Mechanical / structural engineer
