The Interior Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily factory operations related to the production of interior fit-out products, including furniture, cabinetry, doors, panels, and other custom woodwork. The role ensures production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved while managing factory personnel and resources efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily factory operations and production activities.
- Plan and allocate work to machine operators, carpenters, assemblers, and helpers.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Ensure products meet company quality standards and client specifications.
- Coordinate with the design, production planning, procurement, and project teams.
- Monitor material usage and minimize waste.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and operated safely.
- Enforce workplace health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Train, guide, and evaluate factory employees.
- Maintain production records, attendance, and daily progress reports.
- Resolve production issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Wood Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or woodworking production.
- Previous supervisory experience in a factory environment is preferred.
