Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities in our garment manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for ensuring products meet buyer specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements across fabric inspection, cutting, stitching, finishing, packing, and shipment stages.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, quality systems, inline and end-line inspections, AQL standards, and buyer compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities QAM
- Develop and implement quality assurance systems and SOPs across production processes.
- Monitor product quality from raw material receipt to final shipment.
- Ensure garments meet buyer specifications, measurements, workmanship, and packaging standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Production Quality Control
- Supervise inline, end-line, and final quality inspections.
- Monitor critical quality checkpoints in cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, and packing departments.
- Reduce DHU (Defects per Hundred Units) and improve first-pass quality rates.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality issues immediately.
Team Management
- Lead and train QC inspectors, auditors, and line quality staff.
- Conduct quality awareness and skill development programs for operators and supervisors.
- Evaluate team performance and maintain discipline within the quality department.
Buyer & Compliance Coordination
- Handle buyer audits and quality inspections.
- Ensure compliance with customer standards, AQL requirements, and factory quality protocols.
- Prepare quality reports for management and buyers.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain inspection records, audit reports, defect analysis, and corrective action reports.
- Track quality KPIs such as DHU, rejection %, rework %, and customer complaints.
- Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in garment manufacturing quality management.
- Experience handling woven & knit garments preferred.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, measurements, fabrics, and stitching defects.
- Knowledge of AQL standards, 7 QC tools, CAPA, and lean manufacturing practices.
