Job Title: CNC Operator
Location: XLNT Technology, Talawade, Pune
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Engineer
Role Overview
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines safely and efficiently to achieve production targets with required quality standards. The role involves machine operation, tool handling, basic inspection, and maintaining production discipline on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
1. CNC Machine Operation
- Operate CNC Turning as per production plan.
- Load and unload components properly.
- Run approved CNC programs according to setup instructions.
- Ensure continuous production with minimum machine idle time.
2. Part Inspection & Quality
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Ensure components meet drawing and tolerance requirements.
- Identify defects, abnormal sound, or dimensional variation immediately.
- Segregate rejected parts and inform supervisor/quality team.
3. Tool & Machine Handling
- Monitor tool condition and tool wear during machining.
- Inform setter/programmer if tool replacement is required.
- Ensure proper coolant level and machine cleanliness.
- Follow machine operating procedures strictly.
4. Production & Target Achievement
- Achieve daily production targets as assigned.
- Minimize rejection and rework.
- Maintain production records and job cards properly.
- Reduce machine downtime through proper operation.
5. Safety & Discipline
- Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Maintain 5S and cleanliness around machine area.
- Handle tools and instruments carefully.
- Follow shift discipline and reporting structure.
6. Basic Troubleshooting
- Identify basic machine abnormalities:
- Tool breakage
- Vibration/chatter
- Coolant issues
- Program alarms
- Inform concerned engineer/setter immediately.

Experience & Qualification
Diploma / BE / ME / B.TECH / M.TECH in Mechanical or related field preferred.
2–5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine operation preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
