We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, business applications, cybersecurity and technology operations.
The role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security and reliability of IT systems across corporate and operational locations. The candidate will work closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, Warehouse, Fleet and other business functions to identify technology requirements and implement effective IT solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in IT infrastructure, networking, ERP, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, vendor management and IT project implementation, preferably within logistics, supply chain, warehousing, manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure & Operations
· Manage the company's overall IT infrastructure including servers, networks, systems, hardware, software and end-user devices.
· Ensure maximum uptime and smooth functioning of IT infrastructure across offices and operational locations.
· Manage LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall, switches, routers, internet connectivity and related infrastructure.
· Monitor system performance, capacity and availability.
· Manage Microsoft environment including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, user access and email systems.
· Ensure regular system maintenance, upgrades and patch management.
2. ERP & Business Applications
· Manage and support the organization's ERP and other business applications.
· Coordinate with business teams to understand system requirements and process gaps.
· Work with ERP/application vendors for implementation, customization, troubleshooting and upgrades.
· Ensure effective integration between ERP and other systems such as WMS, TMS, HRMS, Finance, Procurement and operational applications, wherever applicable.
· Drive ERP adoption and ensure users are adequately trained.
· Identify opportunities for process automation and technology-driven improvements.
3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection
· Implement and monitor IT security policies, procedures and controls.
· Ensure security of company data, systems, networks and user access.
· Manage antivirus/endpoint security, firewall, access controls and security monitoring.
· Conduct periodic vulnerability and risk assessments.
· Ensure appropriate user access rights and periodic access reviews.
· Monitor and respond to security incidents.
· Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
4. Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
· Establish and monitor regular data backup and restoration processes.
· Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
· Conduct periodic backup restoration and DR testing.
· Ensure critical business systems can be restored within defined timelines.
5. IT Support & Helpdesk
· Lead the IT support function and ensure timely resolution of user issues.
· Establish appropriate IT support processes and escalation mechanisms.
· Monitor IT tickets, response times and resolution timelines.
· Provide technical support for laptops, desktops, printers, email, network connectivity, applications and other IT assets.
· Ensure minimum disruption to business operations due to IT issues.
6. IT Asset & License Management
· Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware, software, licenses and other technology assets.
· Manage procurement, deployment, AMC, warranty and replacement of IT assets.
· Ensure appropriate software licensing and compliance.
· Develop asset lifecycle and replacement plans.
7. Vendor & AMC Management
· Manage relationships with IT vendors, system integrators, ERP partners, internet service providers and other technology partners.
· Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate commercials in coordination with management/procurement.
· Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs.
· Ensure timely renewal of AMC, licenses, domains, subscriptions and technology services.
8. IT Projects & Digital Transformation
· Lead IT implementation and technology upgrade projects from requirement gathering through implementation and stabilization.
· Identify opportunities for automation, digitization and process improvement.
· Work with business teams to evaluate and implement technology solutions.
· Support digital initiatives related to logistics, warehouse, fleet and operational processes.
· Prepare project plans, budgets, timelines and implementation reports.
9. IT Policies, SOPs & Compliance
· Develop and maintain IT policies, SOPs and documentation.
· Establish controls around access management, data security, backups, asset management and acceptable technology usage.
· Conduct periodic IT audits and ensure closure of identified gaps.
· Maintain IT documentation, network diagrams, asset records and system inventories.
10. Team Management
· Lead, mentor and develop the IT team.
· Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
· Establish IT service KPIs and performance standards.
· Build a responsive and business-oriented IT support culture.

Modern IT Manager roles increasingly combine infrastructure, ERP, cybersecurity, cloud, vendor management and business-process technology rather than treating them as separate functions.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering / Computer Applications or related field.
· MCA / MBA-IT / relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
· Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, AWS, CISM/CISSP will be an added advantage.
Experience
· 6–10 years of overall IT experience
· Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial/team-lead capacity.
· Experience managing IT infrastructure, ERP/business applications and external vendors.
· Experience in logistics, supply chain, cold chain, warehousing, manufacturing or multi-location operations would be preferred.
