As an L1 Australia Counsellor, you will guide students who wish to pursue higher education in Australia. You will be responsible for counselling, university selection, application processing, visa guidance, and ensuring a smooth student journey from enquiry to enrolment.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents about study opportunities in Australia.
- Evaluate student profiles, academic records, career goals, and financial background.
- Recommend suitable Australian universities, colleges, courses, and intake options.
- Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and eligibility criteria.
- Handle the complete admission process from enquiry to offer letter and Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
- Review and verify documents including academic transcripts, passports, Statements of Purpose (SOPs), resumes, and financial documents.
- Guide students on Australian student visa documentation, Genuine Student (GS) requirements, and application procedures.
- Coordinate with universities regarding applications, offers, and student documentation.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective students to improve conversion rates.
- Achieve monthly application, admission, and enrolment targets.
- Maintain accurate student records in the CRM system.
- Stay updated on Australian education policies, university requirements, visa regulations, and scholarship opportunities.
- Participate in seminars, education fairs, webinars, and promotional events to generate student enquiries.
- Deliver excellent customer service before departure and during pre-departure orientation.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and counselling skills.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian education system and admission process.
- Understanding of Australian student visa requirements and GS guidelines.

- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple student applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 4-5 years of experience for L1 Counsellor roles (freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered).
- Prior experience in overseas education counselling is an advantage.
