Java Developer
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Java Developer with a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, hands-on problem-solving experience, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and building scalable, efficient backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications and services
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices
- Apply strong data structures and algorithms (DSA) knowledge to solve complex engineering problems and optimize performance
- Design and implement solutions using dynamic programming and other advanced algorithmic techniques where applicable
- Build and deploy applications on AWS, leveraging cloud-native services for scalability and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps) to deliver high-quality software
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing systems for performance and reliability
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong proficiency in Java (Core Java, OOP concepts, Collections, Multithreading)
- Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), with demonstrated problem-solving ability — 150+ problems solved on LeetCode (or equivalent platforms like HackerRank, CodeForces)
- Practical experience with Dynamic Programming concepts and their application to real-world problems
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, or similar)
- Experience with RESTful API design and development
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Understanding of software design patterns and system design principles
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
- Prior competitive programming experience or participation in coding contests
