The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café/restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth team coordination, sales growth, and compliance with company standards. The role includes managing staff, maintaining operational efficiency, handling customer concerns, and achieving business targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations.
- Ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Monitor product quality and service standards as per company SOPs.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and restaurant assets.
Team Management
- Supervise and manage restaurant staff, including shift scheduling.
- Train, motivate, and guide team members for better performance.
- Conduct staff briefings and monitor grooming standards.
- Ensure discipline and professional behavior within the team.
- Coordinate with HR for attendance, onboarding, and employee concerns.
Customer Service
- Ensure excellent guest experience and customer satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly sales targets and operational KPIs.
- Monitor daily sales performance and prepare reports.
- Implement local store marketing activities and promotional campaigns.
- Upsell menu items and improve average billing value.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory levels and reduce wastage.
- Ensure proper stock ordering and storage management.
- Control food cost, beverage cost, and operational expenses.
- Conduct regular stock audits and maintain records.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with senior management regarding operational updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or hotel management qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in restaurant/café operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems and inventory management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
