JOB DESCRIPTION – STRUCTURAL DESIGNER (PREFAB DIVISION)
Job Title: Structural Designer
Division: Prefab Division
Location: Tambaram, Chennai
Salary: ₹22,000 – ₹27,000 per month
Experience: 2–3 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Joining: Immediate joiners preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare structural designs and drawings for Prefab Structures, Portable Cabins, Site Offices, Security Cabins and other prefabricated buildings.
- Perform structural and weight calculations for steel structures and prefab components.
- Prepare detailed structural and fabrication drawings.
- Coordinate with the production, projects and engineering teams.
- Ensure designs meet project requirements, safety standards and structural specifications.
- Assist with material estimation and optimization of structural components.
- Review and modify drawings based on project and site requirements.
- Resolve structural and design-related issues in coordination with internal teams.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of structural design and weight calculations is mandatory.
- Knowledge of steel structures and prefabricated construction.
- Ability to prepare and understand technical and fabrication drawings.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant structural/design software.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in structural design, steel structures or prefab construction.
- Candidates residing in and around Tambaram will be preferred.
- Tamil speaking is mandatory.
- Good English communication skills required.
- Knowledge of additional languages will be an added advantage.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
Salary: ₹22,000 – ₹27,000 per month
