Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Compression Molding Supervisor to oversee daily production operations in our molding department. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Compression Molding processes and expertise in handling SMC (Sheet Molding Compound), DMC (Dough Molding Compound), and Bakelite raw materials. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety compliance are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day compression molding production activities.
- Operate and monitor compression molding machines using SMC, DMC, and Bakelite materials.
- Ensure production targets are achieved with minimum rejection and downtime.
- Monitor mold setup, changeovers, and machine parameters.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production Planning teams.
- Troubleshoot molding defects and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain production reports, shift records, and machine utilization data.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and 5S practices.
- Train and guide machine operators and production workers.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Compression Molding Process.
- Experience working with SMC, DMC, and Bakelite materials.
- Knowledge of mold setting, process optimization, and defect analysis.
- Ability to manage manpower and production planning.
- Good understanding of quality standards and manufacturing processes.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, production reporting).
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Polymer, or a related field.
- ITI candidates with relevant experience may also apply.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Compression Molding manufacturing.
- Experience in automotive, electrical, or industrial plastic molding is preferred.
