Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Quality Control to manage quality inspection activities for fabricated equipment, pressure vessels, and piping systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in fabrication quality, inspection processes, quality documentation, customer coordination, and team handling. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customer requirements, applicable codes, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and supervise quality inspections for structural fabrication, piping, and pressure vessel equipment.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, drawings, inspection plans, and applicable quality standards.
- Review fabrication processes, welding activities, and inspection requirements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain quality documents including inspection reports, test records, and quality dossiers.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and third-party inspection (TPI) agencies for inspection activities.
- Attend customer inspections and resolve quality-related concerns.
- Monitor Inspection Test Plans (ITP), quality procedures, and project-specific requirements.
- Identify non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and guide the QC team to achieve quality targets.
- Visit customer/vendor sites for inspection activities whenever required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Control within fabrication, heavy engineering, pressure vessel, or process equipment industries.
- Strong knowledge of structural fabrication, piping, and pressure vessel inspection.
- Good understanding of fabrication drawings, welding processes, and inspection methods.
- Experience in quality documentation, inspection reports, and customer quality requirements.
- Knowledge of Third-Party Inspection (TPI) coordination.
- Basic knowledge of NDT methods such as VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT is preferred.
- Familiarity with quality standards and codes such as ASME/API/IS is an added advantage.
- Good communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Experience: 5+ Years
Education: BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
