Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Power Press Incharge to lead our Power Press Production section. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in power press machine operations, press tooling, production planning, manpower handling, quality control and safety.
The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining quality, productivity, machine efficiency and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the complete Power Press Production Section and ensure smooth daily operations.
* Plan and execute production as per daily/monthly targets.
* Handle different types of Power Press Machines, Press Tools, Dies and Fixtures.
* Ensure proper machine setting, die setting and changeover activities.
* Monitor production output, rejection, rework and machine downtime.
* Ensure production is carried out as per drawing, specifications and quality standards.
* Identify and resolve production-related problems and machine/tooling issues.
* Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Tool Room, Purchase and Stores teams.
* Allocate manpower and monitor operator performance and productivity.
* Ensure proper utilization of machines, tools, raw materials and manpower.
* Maintain production records, shift reports and rejection/rework reports.
* Implement 5S, Kaizen, TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor and reduce material wastage and production losses.
* Ensure proper handling and storage of dies, tools and finished components.
* Conduct regular inspection of machines, dies and safety devices.
* Ensure strict compliance with PPE, machine guarding, safety procedures and SOPs.
* Train operators regarding safe machine operation and correct production practices.
Candidate Profile
* ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering preferred.
* 8–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
* Strong hands-on experience in Power Press / Press Shop operations.
* Good knowledge of press machines, dies, tools, fixtures and sheet-metal components.
* Experience in manpower handling and production target achievement.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and basic measurements.
* Good knowledge of quality, safety and production processes.
* Should be comfortable working in a shop-floor manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership and team-management skills.
