Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end procurement function for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and utility-scale Solar EPC projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for products and project-related services to support business and project objectives.
- Manage procurement of major BESS equipment, including Battery Systems, Battery Cells, Battery Racks, Battery Containers, Battery Management System (BMS), Power Conversion System (PCS), Energy Management System (EMS), Transformers, RMUs, Switchgear, HT/LT Panels, Cables, SCADA Systems, Fire Protection Systems, and other Balance of Plant (BoP) equipment.
- Lead procurement of project services, including EPC subcontractors, civil and electrical installation, testing & commissioning, logistics, transportation, warehousing, and third-party inspection services.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with domestic and international suppliers, particularly OEMs and manufacturers from China and other global markets.
- Drive strategic sourcing, vendor development, supplier qualification, techno-commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations to achieve cost optimization and supply chain efficiency.
- Manage import procurement activities, including international sourcing, Incoterms, customs clearance, freight forwarding, shipping documentation, and overseas logistics coordination.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services while maintaining project schedules, quality standards, and budget targets.
- Lead supplier performance management, risk assessment, procurement governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, QA/QC, Finance, Contracts, Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team by establishing performance objectives, KPIs, and best procurement practices.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual obligations, statutory regulations, international trade practices, and applicable industry standards.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering. MBA in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Procurement will be an added advantage.
- 10–15 years of progressive procurement experience in BESS, Utility-Scale Solar PV, Renewable Energy, EPC, or Power Infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing global procurement, especially from China and other international markets.
- Strong knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, import/export regulations, customs procedures, and global supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, commercial negotiation, contract management, stakeholder management, and vendor relationship skills.
Experienced with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics will be preferred.
Pay: ₹3,500,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
