Job Summary
A Dessert Cook is responsible for preparing desserts, pastries, sweets, cakes, and bakery items while maintaining quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare desserts, cakes, pastries, puddings, and sweets
- Decorate cakes and dessert items attractively
- Follow standard recipes and portion control
- Maintain freshness and quality of ingredients
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in pastry section
- Monitor stock of bakery and dessert ingredients
- Assist in menu planning for desserts
- Operate bakery and kitchen equipment safely
- Minimize food wastage
- Ensure timely preparation for service and events
Skills Required
- Baking and dessert preparation skills
- Cake decoration and presentation
- Knowledge of bakery ingredients and measurements
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Time management
- Hygiene and food safety knowledge
Qualification
- Hotel Management / Bakery & Confectionery certification preferred
- Basic baking knowledge required
Experience
- Fresher / 1–5 years experience preferred
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts
- Weekend and festival duty
- Long standing hours during operations/events
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
