The Students’ Placement Office (SPO) serves as the central platform for student career development. It facilitates placements, internships, and higher education opportunities while strengthening industry–academia engagement. The SPO supports students through structured processes and institutional partnerships.
Role Summary
The Placement Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all placement-related activities of the institute. The role involves engagement with recruiters, managing placement drives, facilitating student opportunities, and ensuring smooth execution of campus recruitment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end placement activities for graduating students.
- Coordinate with recruiters for campus hiring processes.
- Maintain placement databases, records, and reports.
- Organize pre-placement talks, tests, interviews, and recruitment events.
- Support students in placement preparation and communication.
- Coordinate with academic departments for student eligibility and scheduling.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end placement operations for graduating students, ensuring smooth and transparent execution of campus recruitment activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all placement-related communication with recruiting organizations and industry partners.
- Identify, onboard, and engage new recruiters and strategic industry partners to strengthen campus hiring opportunities.
- Plan and coordinate campus hiring processes, including pre-placement talks, online/offline assessments, interviews, and selection rounds.
- Maintain and manage comprehensive placement databases, MIS reports, dashboards, and statistical analytics.
- Coordinate with academic departments to validate student eligibility, academic records, and scheduling requirements.
- Facilitate logistics, infrastructure, and operational support for placement drives, recruiter visits, and virtual hiring processes.
- Support students with placement-related communication, preparation, counseling, and guidance on recruitment processes.
- Collaborate closely with student placement committees to ensure effective coordination and seamless execution of activities.
- Ensure timely dissemination of placement-related information to students, faculty, and institutional stakeholders.
- Monitor adherence to placement policies, timelines, and institutional guidelines.
- Assist in preparing placement reports, annual summaries, brochures, and employer-facing communication materials.
- Contribute to institutional branding, employer engagement initiatives, and outreach activities related to placements and career services.
- Analyze placement trends and recruiter feedback to recommend process improvements and best practices.
- Ensure confidentiality, data accuracy, and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date coordination records, operational documentation, and process trackers.
Desired Qualifications
A postgraduate qualification in Management, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related discipline, with 10–15 years of relevant experience at a supervisory level in placements, training & development, or related functions within a public or private funded educational institution. The candidate should demonstrate strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills. Prior experience in outreach, student affairs, or academic coordination will be considered an added advantage.
Job Duration
5-year contractual term, with a 1 month notice period
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
