A Plant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities in a manufacturing or industrial plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance technicians and electricians.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor maintenance costs and spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance records and prepare reports.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Leadership and team management.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS).
- Understanding of safety standards such as lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work systems, and risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
- 3–10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, power plants, food processing, chemical plants, or similar industries.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
