We are hiring an Architect / Senior Architect with a strong interior design and turnkey fit-out background to support Srishti's design, tendering and execution teams from the head office. This role is for someone who can understand client and consultant requirements, prepare accurate 2D drawings, develop practical interior details, support tender estimates and coordinate with site teams so that design intent, BOQ scope and actual execution remain aligned. The role is not limited to concept design; it requires a practical, execution-oriented architect who understands how interior projects are built on site.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, revise and manage 2D architectural and interior drawings, including layouts, reflected ceiling plans, partition plans, flooring plans, elevations, sections and detailed execution drawings.
- Read and interpret tender drawings, GFC drawings, BOQs and specifications; identify missing details, scope gaps, design inconsistencies and execution risks.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in architectural / interior estimates for tenders, quotations, BOQ checking and project costing.
- Support the tender and estimation team with drawing-based scope understanding, item mapping, finish schedules, material specifications and rate-related clarifications.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, MEP engineers, procurement, vendors and site teams to resolve drawing clashes, dimensional issues and site execution queries.
- Develop detailed drawings for ceilings, partitions, flooring, wall finishes, panelling, joinery, furniture, signage, facade interfaces and other interior fit-out packages.
- Review vendor / fabricator shop drawings, samples, mock-ups and material submissions for alignment with approved drawings, specifications and site requirements.
- Support material planning by preparing finish schedules, area statements, BOQ-linked quantities and drawing-based procurement inputs.
- Maintain organised drawing documentation, revision records, approval trackers, mark-ups, as-built updates and project drawing folders.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects and internal teams for drawing approvals, design clarifications and technical submissions where required.
- Visit project sites when required to verify site measurements, understand execution constraints, review progress and support drawing revisions based on actual site conditions.
- Help build and maintain a reusable library of standard interior details, material specifications, finish references and drawing templates for future projects.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in interior design, architectural working drawings, turnkey interior fit-out or renovation projects.
- Degree / diploma in Architecture / Interior Design / Interior Architecture or a related field.
- Strong AutoCAD / 2D drafting capability is mandatory; the candidate must be able to independently prepare and understand detailed 2D drawings.
- Knowledge of 3D software such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Lumion or similar is a strong plus, but 2D working-drawing strength is compulsory.
- Good understanding of interior execution details including ceilings, partitions, flooring, wall finishes, panelling, joinery, furniture, hardware and finishing interfaces.
- Ability to read BOQs, tender documents and specifications, and prepare basic drawing-based estimates / quantity take-offs in Excel.
- Prior experience in corporate offices, auditoriums, museums, government / PSU buildings or large commercial interiors will be preferred.
- Comfortable coordinating with site teams, MEP engineers, vendors, consultants and procurement for drawing and execution-related matters.
- Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple drawings, revisions and deadlines across live projects and tenders.
- Based in Chandigarh / Tricity or willing to work full-time from the Chandigarh head office; willing to travel to sites when required.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
