GEETA UNIVERSITY Naultha, Panipat, Haryana JOB DESCRIPTION — CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER (CFO) ABOUT GEETA UNIVERSITY Geeta University, Naultha, Panipat, is a multidisciplinary institution committed to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. The University is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Finance Officer to lead its financial planning, governance, and long-term fiscal sustainability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the University's overall financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Oversee treasury operations, cash flow management, and investment strategy. Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and taxation requirements applicable to the institution. Direct internal and external audit processes and maintain robust financial controls. Develop and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with institutional goals. Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and analyses for University leadership and the Governing Body. Manage financial risk assessment and implement mitigation frameworks. Supervise the finance and accounts department, ensuring efficiency and accountability. Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis. Liaise with banks, statutory authorities, and external stakeholders on financial matters. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (MBA-Finance preferred). Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or ICWA/CMA is highly desirable. Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the education sector or a large institutional setup. Proven track record in strategic financial leadership, audit management, and regulatory compliance. Prior experience in a senior finance leadership role such as CFO, Finance Controller, or Head of Finance. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Strong analytical and strategic financial planning capabilities. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance. Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills. High level of integrity, discretion, and sound financial judgment. Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Office/Excel-based analysis. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
