· Assembly & Installation: Fit and assemble machined parts, components, and structural elements of machines and pipework.
· Fabrication: Measure, cut, shape (grind, saw), and weld raw materials to create specific components. Use hand and power tools to fabricate and modify parts.
· Maintenance & Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and fix malfunctioning equipment, performing routine servicing, cleaning, and replacing worn parts. Perform routine maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
· Technical Interpretation: Analyze and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
· Quality Control: Use precision instruments to check parts for correct size, fit, and function. Conduct tests to diagnose mechanical issues.
· Safety & Documentation: Adhere to strict safety protocols and record all maintenance, repair, and inspection activities. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Proficient with hand/power tools, cutting equipment, and measuring instruments; strong understanding of mechanical systems.
· Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
· Attention to Detail and Precision and accuracy are crucial for perfect fits.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
· Proven experience working as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
