Senior Specialist – Impact Reporting
Location: Dehradun
Experience: 3-5 Years (Minimum)
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development, writing, and delivery of high-quality impact reports for corporate partners, donors, and internal stakeholders.
- Write compelling narratives supported by data, field insights, case studies, and program outcomes across diverse geographies.
- Prepare annual reports, donor-specific reports, BRSR-aligned disclosures, ESG-aligned impact documentation, sustainability briefs, and thematic publications.
- Translate program metrics into narratives aligned with CSR mandates, BRSR indicators, SDG targets, GRI standards, and other global sustainability frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with program managers, field teams, other impact reporting team members and senior leadership to gather accurate and timely data.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to articulate clear, evidence-backed program impact stories.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to reporting standards in every document produced.
- Edit and proofread reports, ensuring clarity, coherence, strong visual storytelling, and error-free content.
- Maintain a repository of impact data, photographs, beneficiary stories, and field insights to support ongoing reporting needs.
- Stay updated with evolving industry trends in corporate sustainability reporting, BRSR requirements, ESG disclosures, and global best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners to ensure reporting meets their expectations and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with design teams to translate content into visually appealing report layouts.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by developing articles, blogs, newsletters, and research-based publications.
- Ensure alignment with SankalpTaru’s global documentation needs, including reporting support for international donors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, journalism, environmental studies, development studies, English literature, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in report writing, documentation, impact communication, or publications—preferably in the non-profit, sustainability, or development sector.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality publications such as donor reports, annual reports, research papers, or case studies.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex program data into simple, clear, and engaging narratives.
- Strong research skills and experience working with field data, impact metrics, and qualitative insights.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across projects and geographies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple reports simultaneously.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, CSR reporting standards, and global reporting trends is an added advantage.
- Passion for environmental conservation, climate action, and community development.
