Position description: The role involves overseeing and managing operations within the SMS-II AOD department at Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading company in the Mining & Metals industry. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining safety and quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational targets. This position requires a strategic approach to resource management, process optimization, and compliance with industry regulations, contributing to the overall productivity and sustainability of the plant operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily operations of the SMS-II AOD department to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely upkeep and repair of equipment to minimize downtime.
- Analyze production data and operational metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Manage and mentor a team of operators and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, quality control, and logistics to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, safety incidents, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Drive initiatives for energy efficiency and waste reduction in line with the company’s sustainability goals.
