Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Assistant to handle procurement of materials and services for commercial interior fit-out projects. The role ensures timely purchasing, cost control, quality compliance, and coordination with site, project, and accounts teams.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Procure materials for commercial interior fit-out including:
- Plywood, laminates & boards
- Hardware & fittings
- Gypsum, ceiling & partition materials
- Electrical, lighting & MEP-related items
- Furniture & joinery materials
- Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors and suppliers
- Obtain quotations, compare rates, and negotiate terms
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders as per approved BOQs and budgets
Site & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for material requirements
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites
- Track material consumption and shortages
- Resolve site-related material issues
Cost Control & Documentation
- Maintain purchase records, POs, delivery challans, and invoices
- Verify supplier invoices against POs and delivery notes
- Coordinate with accounts for bill processing and GST compliance
- Support cost control through rate comparison and alternate sourcing
Inventory & Reporting
- Maintain material stock and inventory records
- Track pending orders and delivery schedules
- Prepare purchase status and cost reports for management

Qualifications
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
- Certification in Procurement / Materials Management
- Knowledge of commercial interior fit-out materials and specifications preferred
- Basic understanding of GST, invoices, and purchase documentation
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP-based purchase systems
Experience
- 2–4 years’ experience in interior fit-out or construction procurement
