Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Product Design & Development Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and improving industrial packaging machines, material handling equipment and related mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new mechanical products and machinery.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.
- Modify and improve existing machine designs based on performance and customer requirements.
- Create assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM and manufacturing drawings.
- Work on machine components such as packers, conveyors, screw conveyors, silos, feeders and supporting structures.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, purchase and assembly teams.
- Select suitable materials, bearings, motors, gearboxes and other mechanical components.
- Perform basic design calculations and ensure proper machine functionality.
- Troubleshoot design and production-related issues.
- Support prototype development, testing and final product improvement.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions and BOMs.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design & Product Development.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Fusion 360 / SolidWorks preferred.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication and machine component design.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Screw Conveyor, Belt Conveyor, Silo, Packing Machine and Material Handling Equipment will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and basic documentation.
Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. – Mechanical Engineering
Experience
3–5 Years in Mechanical Design / Machine Design / Product Development.
Salary
₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
