Banks like State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Karnataka Bank, etc. are our clients. Role Overview: We are seeking Legal Intern for a 2-month, on-site engagement in connection with our project. The interns will support the legal team in matters relating to the recovery of stressed/distressed assets, including documentation, case tracking, and coordination on SARFAESI Act, NCLT, and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) related proceedings. The role offers hands-on exposure to the legal and procedural aspects of banking recovery and distressed asset resolution. Online training will be provided at the commencement of the internship to familiarise interns with the project requirements and processes. Key Responsibilities: Documentation Support: Assist in preparation, verification, and organisation of legal documents and case files related to loan recovery. SARFAESI & NCLT Coordination: Support the team in tracking notices, filings, and proceedings under the SARFAESI Act and before the NCLT/DRT. Case Tracking: Maintain and update trackers/MIS for ongoing recovery cases and legal matters. Reporting: Prepare periodic status updates/reports on assigned cases for internal review. Key Qualifications & Requirements: Pursuing or recently completed LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. / B.L. or equivalent law degree from a recognised institution. Basic understanding of banking, recovery, or insolvency laws preferred (SARFAESI Act, IBC, NCLT/DRT procedures). Tamil-speaking candidates preferred, particularly those based in or from Madurai, Coimbatore, and Salem. Willingness to work on-site for the full 2-month project duration. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil. Good drafting, documentation, and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, within project timelines. Immediate availability preferred. Why Join Us?
