Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Hardware Engineer to design, build, and test physical electronic systems and components. You will be responsible for taking hardware concepts from initial schematics through prototyping, testing, and final production. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in electrical engineering, experience with PCB design tools, and a passion for creating reliable, high-performance physical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Schematic & PCB Design: Create complex electronic circuit schematics and design printed circuit board (PCB) layouts using EDA software.
- Prototyping & Testing: Build hardware prototypes and conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Component Selection: Research, evaluate, and select electrical components based on cost, performance, reliability, and supply chain availability.
- Firmware Collaboration: Work closely with software and firmware engineers to integrate hardware components with low-level software.
- Manufacturing Support: Generate manufacturing documentation (Bills of Materials, Gerber files) and collaborate with external vendors for PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all hardware designs meet industry safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., CE, FCC, RoHS).
- System Optimization: Analyze diagnostic data to improve product power efficiency, thermal management, and physical durability.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a Hardware Engineer, Electronics Engineer, or in a similar product design role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with PCB design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad, OrCAD, SPICE).
- Hands-on Skills: Strong soldering skills and experience using laboratory diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of analog/digital circuit design, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech/BSc) or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field.
