About the Role
AI5 Academy is looking for a Finance & Accounts professional with strong practical knowledge of Generative AI, AI-assisted financial analysis and finance automation to conduct live online training for our AI for Finance & Accounts program.
We are particularly interested in professionals who already use AI in real finance, accounting, FP&A, MIS, reporting or finance-transformation workflows.
This is not a programming or machine-learning trainer position. The course is designed around practical application of current AI tools within finance and accounts functions.
What You Will Teach
The trainer should be comfortable teaching practical applications such as:
- Using Generative AI for finance and accounting tasks
- AI-assisted financial statement analysis
- P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting using AI
- Actual vs budget variance analysis
- MIS and management reporting
- Financial data interpretation
- AI-assisted Excel workflows
- Generating and explaining Excel formulas using AI
- Analysing financial spreadsheets using AI
- Invoice and receipt data extraction
- OCR and document-processing workflows
- Expense categorisation and analysis
- Reconciliation assistance
- Financial report summarisation
- Working with annual reports and large financial documents
- Creating management summaries and executive reports
- Finance dashboards and KPI reporting
- Automating repetitive finance workflows
- Using AI responsibly with confidential financial information
- Understanding limitations, verification and human review of AI-generated financial output

Candidates should have hands-on experience with several of the following:

- Microsoft Copilot
Finance & Data
- Microsoft Excel
- Power BI
- AI-assisted spreadsheet/data-analysis tools
Research & Documents
- NotebookLM
- AI PDF/document analysis tools
- OCR and invoice extraction tools
Automation
- Microsoft Power Automate
- n8n
- Make or similar workflow automation platforms
Exposure to finance/accounting platforms such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP/accounting systems will be an added advantage.

Around 5+ years of practical finance/accounts experience is preferred, although candidates with less experience may be considered if they can demonstrate strong hands-on AI and finance capabilities.
What Matters Most
We are looking for someone who can teach AI by doing.
You should be able to take a realistic finance problem and demonstrate how AI can assist with it during a live class.
For example:
Excel/P&L → AI analysis → identify anomalies → analyse variances → generate management commentary → prepare a management report
or
Invoices/PDFs → data extraction → verification → classification → approval workflow → reporting
The ability to explain these workflows clearly to finance professionals who may not have a technical background is important.
Teaching Approach
Classes should be:
- Practical and demonstration-driven
- Based on realistic finance scenarios
- Suitable for non-programmers
- Focused on current workplace applications
- Supported by exercises, assignments and mini-projects
- Updated as AI tools change
We do not want the program to turn into a Python, machine-learning or theoretical AI course.
Trainer Responsibilities
The selected trainer will:
- Conduct instructor-led online sessions
- Demonstrate tools live
- Create practical finance exercises
- Guide students through assignments and projects
- Review student work
- Help refine course material when required
- Keep demonstrations aligned with current AI capabilities
- Share real-world finance use cases from professional experience
Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants may be asked to conduct a short practical demonstration.
A sample task could include:
Given a financial spreadsheet containing actual and budget figures, demonstrate how you would teach students to use AI to identify major variances, investigate possible causes and prepare a management summary.
Candidates may also be asked to demonstrate an AI-assisted invoice, reporting or finance-automation workflow.
