- Senior Secondary (10+2) or Graduation from a recognized board/university.
- Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Montessori Teacher Training (MTT), or another recognized pre-primary teacher training course.
- Many reputed CBSE schools prefer Graduation + ECCE/NTT.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Creativity in storytelling, art, music, and activity-based learning.
- Patience and a child-friendly approach.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Freshers may be considered.
- Experienced candidates (1–3 years or more) are often preferred by established schools.
- CTET is generally not required for pre-primary (Nursery/KG) teachers. It is mainly intended for teachers of Classes I to VIII. Some schools may still have their own recruitment preferences.
