We are inviting applications from dedicated and technically proficient professionals for the position of Lab Assistant – Physics Laboratories to support laboratory operations, practical teaching, and research activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up, and maintain Physics laboratory experiments for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs.
- Assist faculty members during practical classes, laboratory sessions, examinations, workshops, and research activities.
- Install, calibrate, operate, and maintain Physics laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning, periodic maintenance, and safe handling of laboratory apparatus.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory equipment, consumables, chemicals (where applicable), glassware, and other laboratory resources.
- Keep accurate records of laboratory assets, stock registers, maintenance logs, and equipment servicing.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and university regulations.
- Assist in procurement, inspection, and verification of laboratory equipment and consumables.
- Support students in the proper use of laboratory instruments while ensuring safe laboratory practices.
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment with vendors and service providers.
- Assist in setting up research experiments, demonstrations, exhibitions, seminars, and departmental events.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all Physics laboratories.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Physics laboratories, educational institutions, research laboratories, or scientific organizations.
- Freshers with strong laboratory skills and technical aptitude may also be considered.
Required Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Physics laboratory instruments and experimental setups.
- Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain scientific equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical and electronic measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety standards and equipment handling.
- Inventory management and laboratory documentation skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and laboratory record maintenance.

Compensation
Salary shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.
Pay: ₹30,000.66 - ₹40,000.00 per month
