We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Ruby on Rails, and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, backend development, production support, and secure application development.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters or equivalent container orchestration platforms.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Develop Shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
- Monitor applications using AWS CloudWatch, including logs, CPU, memory, and performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot production issues across cloud infrastructure and deployed applications.
- Manage MongoDB and MySQL databases.
- Design and implement Kafka-based distributed messaging solutions.
- Develop Ruby on Rails applications from scratch.
- Perform Ruby/Rails version upgrades and troubleshoot complex dependency issues.
- Customize Ruby gems and implement monkey patching when required.
- Ensure application security through secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms (Basic Authentication, Bearer Tokens), and vulnerability remediation using Snyk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Backend Development.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Expertise in Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong Shell scripting skills.
- Experience with AWS CloudWatch monitoring.
- Good knowledge of MongoDB and MySQL.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience developing Ruby on Rails applications from scratch.
- Deep understanding of Ruby gems, monkey patching, and framework upgrades.
- Experience implementing secure authentication and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of Snyk or similar vulnerability management tools.
