Help shape the future of mining and metals projects across Australia and India. As a Senior Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Designer, you'll play a key role in delivering complex mining, metals, and material handling projects that support the energy transition, operational decarbonization, and sustainable resource development. Working as part of Jacobs' growing India-based mining and metals team, you'll collaborate closely with our Australian Resources Hub and global engineering specialists to deliver high-quality solutions for major clients.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead C&I design activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept studies and FEED through to detailed engineering and EPC delivery. Your work will directly influence project outcomes by ensuring safe, efficient, and integrated instrumentation and control system designs. You'll work within multidisciplinary teams, contribute to global project delivery, and support the development of junior designers through technical guidance and mentoring.

- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including P&IDs, instrument indexes, I/O lists, loop diagrams, termination diagrams, wiring schematics, and interconnection drawings.
- Collaborate with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, and civil disciplines to deliver coordinated and clash-free designs.
- Participate in model reviews, design reviews, and interdisciplinary checks to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to designers and drafters, promoting quality, consistency, and effective delivery.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, engineering standards, project procedures, and relevant industry codes.
- Partner with clients, vendors, and Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) project teams to resolve technical and design challenges.
