Job Description:
A Pickup Boy in a logistics company is responsible for collecting shipments from customers and ensuring they are safely transported to the company's warehouse or sorting hub. The role requires punctuality, good communication skills, and careful handling of parcels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect shipments from customers as per the assigned pickup schedule.
- Verify shipment details, quantity, and packaging before accepting parcels.
- Ensure all pickup records, manifests, and receipts are accurately completed.
- Scan shipments using the company application or handheld device, if applicable.
- Transport collected shipments safely to the designated warehouse or sorting center.
- Handle parcels carefully to avoid damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Maintain timely communication with customers regarding pickup status.
- Coordinate with the operations team for daily pickup planning and route optimization.
- Report any discrepancies, damaged packages, or customer issues immediately.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and traffic regulations while on duty.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle (if provided).
- Achieve daily pickup targets while maintaining service quality.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments whenever required.
- Collect Proof of Pickup (POP) or customer signatures where applicable.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of customer shipments.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
