At MrMed, we work closely across multiple teams including warehouse operations, logistics, billing, and city operations to ensure timely and safe delivery of medicines to patients. Our operations team plays a critical role in maintaining accuracy, speed, and quality across the supply chain.
Role Overview
The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing procurement operations end-to-end, including sourcing, vendor negotiation, pricing, purchase order management, and inventory coordination. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to handle high-volume SKUs, and effective communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Cost Optimization & Vendor Terms Management
- Work with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement and favourable commercial terms.
- Conduct regular pricing reviews and benchmarking to ensure competitive rates.
- Track vendor credit notes and ensure timely follow-ups and resolution.
2. Procurement Support for Operations
- Ensure high stock availability for fast-moving products through proper planning and forecasting.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and timely order processing.
- Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure purchase orders and goods receipts are completed without delays.
- Address vendor queries and support escalations promptly and professionally.
3. Procurement Operations Effectiveness & Vendor Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of pending dispatches and follow up with vendors for timely supply.
- Conduct regular checks to identify out-of-stock items or discrepancies and take corrective actions.
- Identify and onboard suitable alternate vendors or products where needed to strengthen supply continuity.
4. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Propose and support implementation of process or automation improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Maintain high accuracy and compliance in procurement documentation and records.
- Continuously assess procurement workflows and recommend improvements to reduce delays and operational bottlenecks.
Expectations from the Candidate
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant procurement experience in healthcare, pharma, medicine, or medical devices.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and sourcing skills.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical product categories, pricing structures, and procurement processes.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks, multi-department coordination, and high SKU volumes.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel or procurement/ERP systems.
- Commitment to operational discipline, process adherence, and accurate documentation.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
