Job Purpose
The Program Manager, Platform - CBG Projects, will be a key leader in driving the successful delivery of strategic platform initiatives and enhancements within the Consumer Banking Group. This role involves overseeing complex projects that leverage technology to transform customer journeys, improve efficiency, and expand DBS's reach within the consumer finance ecosystem. The Program Manager will ensure alignment with the bank's strategic goals and contribute to maintaining DBS's position as a digital leader in the banking industry
Key Accountabilities
- Portfolio Governance & Delivery Oversight
- Ensure effective tracking, monitoring, and governance of all projects within the portfolio.
- Drive adherence to timelines, milestones, dependencies, and organizational standards.
- Strategic & Annual Planning
- Support leadership in translating business strategy into actionable roadmaps and execution plans.
- Facilitate annual operating plans, quarterly reviews, and prioritization exercises.
- Project Planning & Execution Management
- Establish project plans, monitor progress, identify risks/issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Track delivery commitments and provide proactive escalation of critical concerns.
- Financial Planning & Cost Management
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial governance across programs.
- Ensure optimal utilization of budgets and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings.
- Management Reporting & Decision Support
- Publish accurate and timely MIS, dashboards, and executive reports.
- Provide data-driven insights to support leadership decision-making.
Job Duties & responsibilities
Portfolio & Project Governance
- Maintain a consolidated view of all projects, programs, milestones, and dependencies.
- Conduct regular governance reviews and status meetings.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies and drive closure actions.
Strategic Planning
- Support annual planning, budgeting, and roadmap development exercises.
- Facilitate prioritization of initiatives aligned to business objectives.
- Track strategic goals and key outcomes against approved plans.
Project Planning & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans and delivery dashboards.
- Monitor schedule, scope, resource allocation, and delivery health.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure execution alignment.
- Drive corrective actions for projects deviating from plan.
MIS & Executive Reporting
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly portfolio MIS reports.
- Publish executive dashboards covering delivery status, financials, risks, and key metrics.
- Generate insights and recommendations for leadership reviews.
Financial Management
- Manage annual budget planning and periodic forecasting.
- Track actual spend against approved budgets.
- Monitor vendor, resource, and project-related costs.
- Highlight budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business, RMG, product, technology, finance, and operations teams.
- Facilitate governance forums and leadership reviews.
- Ensure clear communication of project status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders
Required Experience
9+ years of experience with a proven track record in the financial services and/or banks, ideally in managing developments for retail banking
- Proven experience in program or project management within the financial services industry, specifically with a focus on platform development or large-scale technology projects.
- Strong understanding of Consumer Banking products, services, and customer journeys.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Solid understanding of risk management principles and regulatory compliance within the banking sector.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives, API integrations, and emerging technologies with AI mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
