Role Summary
We are looking for a mature and practical senior HR professional to supervise the existing HR Executive and take ownership of day-to-day HR operations, employee issues, recruitment pipeline, induction/training, compliance tracking, attendance discipline and admin coordination. This is not a basic recruiter role; the person must be able to manage people, systems and follow-ups independently, so that routine HR matters do not require daily management involvement.
Key Responsibilities

· Handle employee grievances, salary discussions, attendance issues, reporting lapses, disagreements and routine people-related escalations at HR level.
· Improve employee discipline by ensuring proper attendance, leave, reporting, workplace conduct and rule compliance across departments.
· Own recruitment for open positions and build backup candidate pipelines for important roles instead of depending only on Indeed/Apna applications.
· Source candidates through LinkedIn, direct outreach, references, recruitment agencies, consultants, colleges, ITIs and campus placement drives.
· Design and ensure complete induction for every new employee with proper checklist, department introduction, policy briefing, SOP/GMP awareness and sign-off.
· Plan and coordinate training for existing employees on 5S, GMP awareness, Good Documentation Practices, hygiene, safety, SOPs, workplace behaviour and reporting discipline.
· Maintain HR compliance awareness and coordinate day-to-day/monthly HR compliances such as labour codes/guidelines, POSH, PF/ESI/payroll records, attendance registers, leave records, contract labour/vendor documentation and statutory HR records as applicable.
· Track admin/vendor activities including security, housekeeping, hygiene, laundry, pest control and fumigation schedules/service agreements.
· Submit weekly HR MIS to management covering recruitment status, backup candidates, employee issues, attendance/reporting defaulters, training/induction status, compliance pending points and admin/vendor issues.
Required Experience
· 5–8 years of HR/Admin experience, preferably in pharma, manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or factory environment.
· Experience in supervising junior HR staff and improving HR systems, follow-ups and discipline.
· Practical experience in employee relations, grievance handling, attendance discipline, recruitment, induction, training and HR documentation.
· Working knowledge of HR statutory compliance and workplace rules applicable to Indian companies; pharma/GMP exposure will be preferred.
Required Skills
· Strong communication, follow-up and documentation skills.
· Ability to speak firmly but professionally with employees and department heads.
· Ability to present issues to management with facts, options and clear recommendations.
· Good recruitment sourcing ability through LinkedIn, agencies, references and colleges.
· Mature, confidential, non-political and system-oriented working style.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be a senior HR person who can manage the existing HR Executive, solve routine employee matters, strengthen recruitment sources, ensure proper induction and training, maintain HR compliance discipline, and create a more accountable work culture.
Note for Applicants
This role requires ownership, follow-up and people-management ability. Candidates who have handled only basic recruitment or only portal-based hiring may not be suitable.
