Job Description – Manager –Procurement ( Noida )
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement and sourcing operations within an import-driven business environment. This role is responsible for driving strategic sourcing, RFQ management, cost structure development, and commercial decision-making, with a strong focus on margin optimization and competitive bid submissions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within importer-focused companies (India-based or global) and operating in international procurement environments, with deep understanding of landed cost structures and global sourcing dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities for consumer goods across international markets.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with cost, quality, and business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers across South Asia and other global regions.
- Lead and manage the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process end-to-end, including
- Developing RFQs based on detailed product specifications, technical requirements, and business needs
- Preparing and building comprehensive landed cost structures, including product cost, freight, duties, tariffs, and all associated cost components
- Conducting detailed cost analysis and benchmarking to determine optimal sourcing strategies
- Developing final pricing structures, incorporating target margins and business objectives
- Preparing and submitting competitive bid proposals and quotations to customers
- Evaluating supplier responses, preparing comparative analysis, and leading commercial negotiations
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with international suppliers.
- Build and manage long-term supplier relationships to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Oversee procurement planning, purchase execution, and supplier coordination.
- Ensure compliance with product specifications, sourcing requirements, and procurement standards.
- Utilize ERP systems and analytics to drive data-driven procurement decisions.
- Identify and implement cost reduction, margin improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
Key Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree required (MBA or equivalent), preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations, International Business, or related field.
Experience
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management.
- Mandatory experience supporting importer-focused companies (India-based or global) operating in import-driven business models.
- Proven experience working within an international procurement environment.
- Experience supporting foreign-based importer companies is strongly preferred.
- Strong experience working with suppliers across South Asia and other global sourcing regions.
- Proven experience managing RFQ processes end-to-end, including costing, supplier evaluation, and bid submission.
Import Environment & Cost Understanding
- Proven experience working in environments involving international trade, import processes, and cost structures, including:
- Customs duties and tariffs
- Freight and logistics cost components
- Incoterms and shipping-related cost implications
- Strong ability to understand and incorporate all landed cost components into pricing and procurement decisions (coordination with logistics providers is not a primary responsibility).
Systems, Analytics & Costing
- Proven experience with ERP systems and procurement platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong expertise in developing and analyzing landed cost structures, including margin-based pricing models.
Supplier Negotiation & Commercial Expertise
- Significant and proven experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with international suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings, margin improvement, and strategic supplier partnerships.
