Job Title: Consultant Paediatrician
Location: Iswarya Fertility & Women's Hospital, Sivakasi
Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, with a special focus on newborn care, NICU support, and postnatal care. Candidates with experience in Maternity, Women's Healthcare, Fertility, or Multi-specialty Hospitals will be given preference.
Eligibility
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics (or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Paediatrician.
- Experience in Neonatal Care, NICU, and Newborn Resuscitation is preferred.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), BLS, or PALS is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct newborn examinations immediately after birth and before discharge.
- Attend normal and high-risk deliveries, including Caesarean Sections, to provide immediate neonatal care.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage neonatal and paediatric medical conditions.
- Manage and monitor babies admitted to the NICU and coordinate with NICU nursing staff.
- Provide vaccinations, developmental assessments, and routine child health check-ups.
- Counsel parents on breastfeeding, newborn care, nutrition, immunization, growth, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, Neonatologists (where applicable), Anaesthetists, and Nursing teams to ensure comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control measures, patient safety standards, and ethical medical practices.
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Rotational duty schedule
- Candidates should be willing to provide on-call and emergency services, including night duties, as required.
Salary
- Salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and interview performance.
Preferred Candidate
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Consultant Paediatrician.
- Previous experience in Maternity, NICU, Neonatal Care, Women's Healthcare, or Multi-specialty Hospitals will be an added advantage.
- Strong clinical expertise in neonatal and paediatric care.
- Excellent communication and parent counseling skills.
