Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head HR Officer to lead and manage the Human Resource function for our Jewellery Manufacturing Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives while creating a high-performance, employee-centric, and compliant work environment.
The role involves leadership in talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, training & development, succession planning, HR compliance, and organizational development. The candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities and deep understanding of HR practices within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Management
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and business objectives.
- Collaborate with management for manpower planning, organizational development, and workforce optimization.
- Drive initiatives that foster a positive work culture and employee engagement.
2. Manpower Budgeting & Workforce Planning
- Prepare and manage manpower budgets in coordination with department heads.
- Strategically implement recruitment and manpower transfer policies to achieve workforce targets.
- Monitor staffing requirements and optimize resource utilization.
3. Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Design and implement employee retention strategies and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure smooth induction and integration of new employees within defined turnaround timelines.
- Build employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality talent.
4. HR Cost & Administration Management
- Monitor and control HR-related expenditures including recruitment, training, employee welfare, and benefits.
- Manage administration functions including:
- Security
- Housekeeping
- Canteen operations
- Analyze current and future administrative requirements and budget allocations.
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Maintain healthy employee relations through transparent communication and grievance handling.
- Establish employee feedback systems and satisfaction improvement initiatives.
- Promote recognition and reward programs to improve morale and retention.
6. Performance Management System
- Implement and monitor performance management frameworks including Balanced Scorecard Systems.
- Conduct performance appraisals, goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and development planning.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives and recognition programs.
7. Learning & Development
- Conduct Training Need Identification (TNI).
- Design, execute, and evaluate training and development programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and leadership development.
8. Succession Planning
- Identify high-potential employees and develop leadership pipelines.
- Create structured succession plans for key positions across departments.
9. ERP & HR Systems Management
- Lead HR ERP implementation in coordination with IT and vendors.
- Ensure accurate HR data migration and system optimization.
- Conduct user training and support change management initiatives.
10. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain ethical HR practices and workplace discipline.
- Oversee workplace health, hygiene, and safety standards including canteen hygiene and employee welfare measures.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with specialization in Human Resources or equivalent qualification in HR Management.
Desired Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in Manufacturing or Jewellery Industry.
