About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and student-focused Skill Development & Career Readiness Trainer to deliver practical training that helps students develop essential workplace skills, improve their confidence, and become better prepared for employment and the professional environment.
The trainer will be responsible for conducting engaging, activity-based sessions that bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions on soft skills, employability skills and workplace readiness.
- Develop students' communication, presentation, interpersonal and professional skills.
- Train students on interview skills, resume preparation, group discussions and workplace etiquette.
- Conduct practical activities, role plays, mock interviews and real-world workplace simulations.
- Help students understand industry expectations, workplace behaviour and professional standards.
- Develop students' confidence, problem-solving, decision-making and teamwork abilities.
- Provide guidance on career planning, job search and professional development.
- Assess students' progress through tests, activities, assignments and practical evaluations.
- Identify individual skill gaps and provide constructive feedback and improvement guidance.
- Keep training content updated according to current industry trends and employer expectations.
- Coordinate with the centre team to support placement readiness and student development initiatives.
- Maintain training records, attendance, assessment results and student progress reports.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline; additional qualifications in HR, Training, Management, Education or related fields will be preferred.
- Prior experience in training, teaching, employability development, HR, recruitment, career counselling or corporate learning will be an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse educational backgrounds.
- Practical understanding of industry requirements and workplace expectations.
- Comfortable conducting interactive and activity-based training sessions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
