Job Description
The proposed role is Senior Technical Project Manager / Cloud Platform Architect (CaaS – OpenShift & Telecom Cloud), responsible for delivering specialized technical leadership and project management services for Optus Core Network Delivery under the CaaS (Container as a Service) program.
Role Overview
This position involves leading end-to-end technical project management for the design, deployment, migration, and onboarding of telecom-grade cloud-native platforms based on Red Hat OpenShift bare-metal infrastructure, including virtualization and containerized workloads.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage end-to-end CaaS platform delivery across Lab and Production environments.
· Drive consolidation of multiple container platforms (Rancher, TKG, OpenShift) into a unified OpenShift-based architecture.
· Manage OpenShift bare-metal deployments, including container workloads and OpenShift virtualization.
· Coordinate with HPE (Prime vendor) and Red Hat for infrastructure delivery, design validation, and platform integration.
· Lead cloud-native network function (CNF) onboarding and integration with telecom applications (DNA, ASIMOV, Voicemail, ISE, etc.).
· Conduct and manage technical solution onboarding lifecycle, including integration, validation, and commissioning.
· Engage with internal platform teams, network teams, and application stakeholders to ensure seamless IP connectivity and integrations.
· Drive Cyber Security Assurance processes (SRA, vulnerability scans, compliance).
· Manage migration programs from VMware virtualization to OpenShift virtualization platforms.
· Lead project governance activities: steering committees, planning sessions, stakeholder reporting.
· Ensure project schedules, milestones, and deliverables are tracked and delivered on time.
· Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies and issue resolution frameworks.
· Oversee technical documentation, HLD/LLD validation, and delivery artifacts.
· Provide technical leadership to large cross-functional teams across vendors and internal stakeholders.
· Enable training and knowledge transfer to local teams.
Technical Skills & Expertise
· Deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Containerization & Cloud-Native Platforms
· Strong experience in Telecom Cloud (NFVI, CNIS, 5G workloads, CNFs)
· Knowledge of VMware, OpenStack, Bare-metal architecture
· Experience in cloud migration & transformation (VMware → OpenShift virtualization)
· Expertise in automation (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines
· Strong understanding of networking, storage (CEPH), security compliance (IAM, RBAC)
· Experience working with global telecom operators and large-scale infrastructure programs
B. Duration of Assignment
The assignment duration is:
6 to 12 months (short-term specialized engagement)
This duration aligns with:
- Critical FY27 CaaS program milestones
- Platform consolidation and onboarding phases
- Temporary need for specialized expertise.

- Ensures end-to-end program governance and execution, reducing delays and delivery risks.
- Strengthens cybersecurity compliance and assurance processes for telecom infrastructure.
- Facilitates integration across multiple internal teams and platforms, ensuring seamless delivery.
- Provides knowledge transfer to Australian workforce, building long-term local capability.

Pay: From ₹1,500,000.00 per year
