You will facilitate and operationalize data governance across BASF, with a strong focus on collaboration and value creation:
- Coordinate data governance activities across different stakeholders
- Support the execution of BASF-wide data principles and governance guidelines
- Define, implement and continuously improve data roles and responsibilities (e.g. Data Owners, Data Product Owners, Data Domain Owners)
- Promote and support the nomination and onboarding of data roles in business
- Develop and share processes, templates and best practices for data governance across the organization
- Create transparency on data governance maturity, risks and improvement areas
- Facilitate data usage with clear and secure agreements integrated into the Data Catalog
- Identify, assess, and manage data-related risks, especially for AI use cases
- Support governance requirements such as data classification, ownership, quality, lineage and compliance-by-design
Act as a connector between business, IT, security and compliance stakeholders

Requirements :
- Degree in business administration, science, IT or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in data-related roles (e.g. data governance, data stewardship, data management).
- Practical experience with governance topics, ideally in complex or federated organizations.
- Structured and pragmatic working style in complex environments.
- Initial experience in project or change initiatives is an advantage.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across business, IT and corporate functions.
- Strong user and value orientation – you focus on practical benefits, not bureaucracy.
