Kodee’s is an authentic, comfort-driven café focused on serving freshly baked goods and high-quality food in a warm and welcoming environment. We are looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to work closely with our Head Bakery Chef and support all bakery and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Bakery Chef in day-to-day bakery production and kitchen operations.
- Prepare and support the production of breads, cookies, pastry cream fillings, and other baked items as per recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and product quality.
- Take complete charge of bakery operations in the absence of the Head Bakery Chef.
- Help with inventory management, ingredient preparation, and stock monitoring.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support menu development and contribute ideas for new bakery items.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Bakery Chef, or Senior Baker in a café, bakery, or restaurant.
- Hands-on experience in bread making, cookies, pastries, and dessert preparation.
- Ability to independently manage bakery operations and lead a team when required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for baking and willingness to learn and grow with the brand.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of quality.
