We are looking for an ambitious and commercially sharp Assistant Manager — Sales to drive new business acquisition and manage key client relationships for our labour law compliance services and SaaS platform. This is a hunter-plus-farmer role: you will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching to closing and account management — across SME, mid-market, and enterprise segments. Target profiles: We are particularly interested in candidates with prior B2B sales experience in labour law compliance, HR-tech, payroll, or legal/regulatory services — especially those from organisations such as Teamlease Regtech, Simpliance, Legalwiz, Greytip, Keka, or Darwinbox.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities across target industries (manufacturing, logistics, IT/ITES, construction, hospitality, retail)
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle — prospecting, discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closure
- Conduct compelling product demos and presentations of BizproutX's SaaS platform and compliance services to decision-makers
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets for both services and SaaS subscriptions Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive retention, upselling, and cross- selling
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts — ensuring satisfaction, resolving escalations, and identifying expansion opportunities
- Conduct periodic business reviews with clients to showcase value delivered and explore new requirements Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain a healthy, well-qualified sales pipeline and update CRM (Zoho or similar) regularly
- Provide weekly and monthly sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market feedback to the Sales Manager
- Track competitor activity — pricing, offerings, and positioning — and share insights with the team Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team on campaigns, lead nurturing, and targeted outreach
- Coordinate with the delivery and compliance team to ensure smooth onboarding and client handoff post-sale
- Mentor and support junior lead generation executives, sharing best practices and deal-closure strategies Requirements WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Must-Have
- 4–5 years of B2B sales experience, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Prior experience selling labour law compliance, HR-tech, payroll, legal/regulatory, or SaaS products
- Background at or familiarity with: Teamlease Regtech, Simpliance, Legalwiz, Greytip, Keka, Darwinbox, Cleartax Compliance, or similar
- Strong consultative selling skills — ability to understand client pain points and position solutions effectively
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Kannada or Hindi is a plus
- Hands-on with productivity and sales tools — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Zoho CRM, Google Sheets, Notion, or similar Good to Have
- Understanding of core labour laws: Shops & Establishment Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, Factories Act, Maternity Benefit Act
- Experience managing a portfolio of 20+ active accounts simultaneously
- Established network of HR, Legal, Compliance, or Finance decision-makers in SME or enterprise segments
- Prior experience with SaaS deal structures — subscriptions, tiered pricing, pilot-to-paid conversions Target Candidate Profiles
