About Bagmaker
Bagmaker is a growing manufacturer and supplier of bags, fashion accessories and related products, serving domestic and international customers across B2B, D2C and marketplace channels. We are looking for an experienced Director of Sales & E-Commerce to lead revenue growth across our online and offline sales ecosystem.
Role Overview
The Director of Sales & E-Commerce will be responsible for developing and executing the company's overall sales and e-commerce strategy. The role requires a strong business leader who can drive revenue, profitability, marketplace growth, D2C performance, B2B sales and customer acquisition while building and managing high-performing sales and e-commerce teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, D2C, B2B sales, digital marketing, business development and P&L management, preferably within fashion, bags, accessories, lifestyle or consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute the company's annual and long-term sales strategy.
- Drive revenue growth across B2B, D2C, marketplaces, institutional and export channels.
- Set monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets and ensure achievement.
- Identify new markets, customer segments and revenue opportunities.
- Develop pricing, discounting and sales strategies to maximize revenue and margins.
- Build strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, retailers and strategic customers.
2. E-Commerce & Marketplace Management
- Own the overall performance of the company's e-commerce business.
- Drive growth across Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and other relevant marketplaces.
- Develop marketplace-specific growth strategies for sales, visibility, conversion and profitability.
- Monitor product listings, pricing, inventory, ratings, reviews and catalogue quality.
- Improve conversion rates, AOV, repeat purchases and customer lifetime value.
- Identify opportunities for new marketplaces and digital sales channels.
- Work closely with operations and inventory teams to maintain product availability and fulfilment efficiency.
3. Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition
- Oversee performance marketing across Meta, Google and other relevant digital platforms.
- Develop strategies for customer acquisition, retargeting, remarketing and retention.
- Track CAC, ROAS, conversion rate, AOV and overall marketing ROI.
- Work with the marketing team to develop campaigns, promotions and product launches.
- Leverage analytics and customer data to improve marketing efficiency.
4. P&L and Business Performance
- Own revenue and profitability targets for the Sales & E-Commerce function.
- Monitor gross margins, contribution margins, discounts, commissions and marketing spends.
- Prepare and review monthly business performance reports.
- Identify underperforming products, channels and campaigns and implement corrective actions.
- Develop forecasts and sales budgets in coordination with management.
5. Team Leadership
- Build, mentor and lead high-performing sales and e-commerce teams.
- Define KRAs, KPIs and performance targets for team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure accountability.
- Develop sales processes, reporting structures and SOPs.
- Build a performance-driven culture focused on revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction.
6. Product & Category Growth
- Work closely with design, merchandising and product development teams.
- Identify market trends and customer preferences.
- Recommend new products, collections, price points and product extensions.
- Analyse SKU-level performance and optimize the product portfolio.
- Identify high-potential products and develop strategies to scale them.
7. Analytics & Reporting
- Establish dashboards and MIS for sales and e-commerce performance.
- Track KPIs including:
- Revenue & gross margin
- Marketplace sales
- Shopify/D2C sales
- Conversion rate
- Average Order Value
- CAC & ROAS
- Repeat purchase rate
- Return/cancellation rate
- Inventory turnover
- SKU profitability
- Present business reviews and strategic recommendations to the MD/CEO.
8. Business Development
- Identify and develop new B2B and institutional customers.
- Explore corporate gifting, retail chains, international buyers and strategic partnerships.
- Develop distributor and channel partnerships where relevant.
- Lead negotiations with major customers and strategic accounts.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Management or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10–15+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales/e-commerce leadership position.
- Proven track record of scaling revenue and managing large sales/e-commerce businesses.
- Strong experience with Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and marketplace ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and performance marketing.
- Experience with P&L ownership and business planning.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience in bags, fashion accessories, lifestyle, apparel, footwear, consumer products or manufacturing will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹175,000.00 per month
