Job Summary
The Assistant Principal will assist the Principal in overseeing the school's academic, administrative, and operational functions. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, excellent communication skills, sound knowledge of CBSE guidelines, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership
- Assist the Principal in planning, implementing, and monitoring the school's academic programs.
- Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum, policies, and guidelines.
- Monitor lesson planning, classroom teaching, assessments, and student learning outcomes.
- Observe classroom teaching and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Coordinate examinations, result analysis, and academic improvement initiatives.
- Promote innovative teaching practices, digital learning, and continuous professional development.
Staff Management
- Supervise and mentor teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Monitor staff performance, punctuality, discipline, and professional conduct.
- Identify training needs and organize faculty development programs.
- Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work culture.
Student Development
- Ensure high standards of student discipline, safety, and well-being.
- Address student behavioral and academic concerns in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Promote holistic development through co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Support counselling, career guidance, and student leadership initiatives.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day administration and smooth functioning of the school.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE regulations, statutory requirements, and school policies.
- Coordinate admissions, parent interactions, inspections, and school events.
- Oversee documentation, reports, timetables, and academic records.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure operational efficiency.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians.
- Address parent concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
- Represent the school during meetings, orientations, and public events whenever required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's Degree in any discipline with B.Ed. (M.Ed. preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience and at least 3 years of experience in an academic leadership role such as Academic Coordinator, Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, Headmistress, or similar position in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Thorough knowledge of CBSE curriculum, examination system, NEP 2020, and school administration.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and school ERP systems.
