Job Summary
SPD Constructions Ltd. is looking for a skilled Electrician for its high-rise building construction project in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.
The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at the project site. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in construction-site electrical work and be familiar with electrical safety standards and practices.
Candidates with prior experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale building construction projects will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment at the construction site.
- Execute electrical installation works as per approved drawings, specifications, layouts, and project requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical documents.
- Carry out electrical wiring, cable laying, conduit installation, switch/socket installation, lighting, DB installation, and related works.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of distribution boards, electrical panels, lighting systems, power points, and temporary site electrical systems.
- Perform electrical testing and inspection to identify faults, loose connections, short circuits, and other electrical issues.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical breakdowns and faults in a timely manner.
- Ensure electrical installations are properly earthed and safely connected.
- Coordinate with Civil Supervisors, Site Engineers, MEP Engineers, subcontractors, and other site teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
- Coordinate electrical works with civil and other MEP activities to avoid clashes, rework, and delays.
- Ensure all electrical works are completed within the planned schedule and quality standards.
- Conduct necessary safety checks and ensure electrical installations comply with applicable IS/IEC standards and project safety requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping around electrical work areas and ensure safe handling of electrical tools and equipment.
- Use appropriate PPE and electrical safety equipment while performing site activities.
- Report electrical faults, material requirements, unsafe conditions, and work progress to the concerned supervisor/engineer.
- Maintain proper care and safe storage of electrical tools, equipment, cables, and materials.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
- ITI in Electrical Trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Candidates with experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or building construction projects will be preferred.
- Fresh ITI candidates with strong practical knowledge may also be considered for suitable openings.
Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical wiring, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and basic IS/IEC standards.
- Hands-on experience with electrical tools, cables, conduits, DBs, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, and related equipment.
- Good coordination skills with civil and MEP teams.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic electrical faults.
- Good discipline, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to work safely at a construction site and meet project deadlines.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
