Job Title: Structural Engineer (Experienced)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Steel Structural Engineer to design, analyze, and oversee the execution of structural steel projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, cost-effective, and high-quality structural designs in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze steel structures such as industrial buildings, commercial structures, and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection plans.
- Coordinate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IS, AISC, Eurocode).
- Perform structural analysis using software tools like STAAD Pro, ETABS, Tekla, etc.
- Conduct site visits and provide technical support during fabrication and erection.
- Identify and resolve design issues, ensuring project timelines are met.
- Optimize designs for cost efficiency and constructability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in steel structure design and detailing.
- Strong knowledge of steel design codes and standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000).
- Experience with detailing tools like Tekla Structures or AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of fabrication and erection processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in international projects.
- Knowledge of connection design.
- Familiarity with BIM tools and workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
