Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the overall financial leadership of the organization, including Financial Strategy, Corporate Finance, Business Planning, Accounting, Treasury, Taxation, Compliance, Internal Controls, Risk Management, MIS, and Investor/Banking Relations. The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen, strategic thinking, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive financial transformation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy in alignment with business
- objectives.
- Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team on strategic initiatives and long term
- business planning.
- Evaluate business expansion opportunities, mergers & acquisitions, capital investments, and
- new ventures.
- Drive sustainable profitability and maximize shareholder value.
Financial Planning & Business Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
- Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key business performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations.
- Present financial analysis to senior leadership and Board members.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee financial consolidation across business entities.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and
- applicable financial reporting requirements.
- Strengthen financial reporting processes and controls.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and working capital.
- Optimize fund utilization and financing strategies.
- Lead debt management and capital structuring.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure, if applicable.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, FEMA (where applicable),
- and other statutory regulations.
- Oversee direct and indirect taxation.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, GST, and cost audits.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Develop and implement robust financial governance frameworks.
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and compliance mechanisms.
- Identify enterprise risks and establish mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
Business Finance & Commercial Excellence
- Drive profitability improvement initiatives.
- Monitor product-wise, division-wise, and customer-wise profitability.
- Evaluate pricing strategies and cost optimization opportunities.
- Support commercial negotiations and business contracts from a financial perspective.
MIS & Performance Reporting
- Develop executive dashboards and management reports.
- Monitor KPIs, financial ratios, and operational performance.
- Deliver timely and insightful reports for strategic decision-making.
Digital Finance & Automation
- Lead ERP implementation, finance digitization, and process automation initiatives.
- Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and analytics capabilities.
- Drive continuous process improvement within the finance function.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Finance & Accounts teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build succession plans and strengthen organizational capability.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, investors, legal
- advisors, and government authorities.
- Represent the finance function in Board meetings and leadership reviews.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
Experience
- 15–20+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role as CFO, Finance Controller, Finance Head, or VP Finance.
- Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, logistics, supply chain, or diversified business groups will be an added advantage.
